Morocco joins Ghana at the top

Ghana's group opponents, Morocco have gone top the standings in Group A after thrashing Namibia 5-1 at the Ohene Djan Stadium on Monday.

Morocco's Soufiane Alloudi struck a first-half hat-trick to help the Atlas Lions to an easy win over Namibia.

Five minutes into the start of the game and Soufiane scored two goals and grabbed a third in the 28th.

Namibia, after a nervy start to the game, fought back well to make it 2-1 courtesy midfielder, Brian Brendell in the 24th minute.

A penalty by Tarik Sektioui made it 4-1 before halftime and substitute Moncef Zerka got his first international goal three minutes after coming on as a substitute in the 70th minute.

Morocco joined Ghana on three points following the host nation's 2-1 win over Guinea in the tournament opener on Sunday.
