The Atlas Lions of Morocco achieved an impressive 8-3 triumph over Ghana in front of their home crowd in Rabat, securing their second victory and edging closer to the semi-finals of the TotalEnergies CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations.

Led by Hicham Dguig, the Moroccan team displayed a dominant performance against the Black Stars at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Hall on Saturday evening.

Morocco took an early lead when Youssef Jouad scored just 15 seconds into the game, followed by Captain Soufiane El Mesrar doubling the advantage with a powerful strike from distance.

Despite a goal from Ghana's Prince Arthur, Morocco maintained control with Soufiane Charraoui's goal restoring their lead.

Further goals from El Mesrar and Philip Nii Boye ensured a 4-2 scoreline at halftime. The second half remained fiercely contested, but Morocco extended their lead with a penalty converted by Bilal Bakkali.

Late goals from Khalid Bouzid and Youssef Jouad secured Morocco's comprehensive victory.

This win places the Atlas Lions at the top of Group A with six points, while Angola and Zambia follow closely with three points each. Ghana sits at the bottom of the group without any points.
