Jan Gyamerah and Ronald Donkor are the two new players called up by Carlos Queiroz for this month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Côte d'Ivoire and The Gambia, as well as the international friendly against Morocco.
Jan, a right-back, has been in fine form in the 2026/27 season, having made four appearances for SV Elversberg in the German Bundesliga 2. He previously featured for Kaiserslautern, Nürnberg, Hamburger SV and VfL Bochum.
On the other hand, Ronald Donkor has earned his first international call-up after impressive outings for New York Red Bulls. He began his career at the JMG Football Academy in Mali and played for Guidars FC before signing for the Red Bulls in May 2023.
The two players are expected to arrive in Ghana in the coming days to join the Black Stars squad for the three assignments.
Ghana will face Côte d'Ivoire on Thursday, September 24, host The Gambia at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, September 29, before travelling to Morocco for a friendly against the Atlas Lions on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
