The Black Stars management extends our sincere gratitude to the Rhode Island Sheriff’s Department and the Providence Security Team for their professionalism and selfless service during our 2026 FIFA World Cup stay in Providence.

Ghana arrived in Rhode Island on June 11 after camps in Cardiff and Virginia. During our time here, the team was based at Providence by Hilton and trained at Bryant University, while also engaging with the vibrant Ghanaian community in New England who gave us incredible support.

“The hospitality in Providence made it a home away from home,” said Coach Carlos Queiroz.

The Black Stars depart for Kansas City on Wednesday, July 1, ahead of a decisive Round of 32 match against Colombia on Friday, July 3 at Kansas City Stadium. With a Round of 16 ticket on the line, Ghana will be fighting to build on the momentum from our impeccable performances against Panama, England and Croatia.

We thank Rhode Island for hosting us.
