The Black Satellites have held their first training session in Yamoussoukro, Côte d'Ivoire, ahead of the 2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship, which kicks off on Sunday, July 26.

The team trained under the watchful eye of head coach Maxwell Konadu on Saturday as they intensified preparations for their Group B opener against Nigeria on Monday. The session focused on fine-tuning tactics and sharpening the squad ahead of the highly anticipated encounter.

Ghana will continue their Group B campaign against Burkina Faso before wrapping up the group stage against Togo. Maxwell Konadu's side will be aiming to secure a place in the knockout stage and mount a strong challenge for the WAFU B U-20 Championship title.

The tournament serves as the qualifying competition for the 2027 TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, which Ghana is set to host.
