An exclusive high-level coaching course is currently underway at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, aimed at enhancing the technical and tactical expertise of Ghana’s youth team coaches.

The five-day programme, which commenced on Monday, November 3, and runs through Friday, November 7, is tailored for coaches currently serving with the Men’s and Women’s National Youth Teams, from the U15 to U20 levels, as well as GFA Elite Academy coaches based at Bolgatanga SHS, Prempeh College and Achimota School.

The course is being delivered by FIFA Specialist Coach Educator Callum Irving, with support from football conditioning expert Tobias Powalla, FIFA High Performance Specialist Cayl Coetsee, and the GFA’s FIFA Talent Coach, Stuart McLaren. Together, the instructors are equipping participants with cutting-edge insights into modern coaching methodologies and performance development.

Designed as a blend of theoretical and practical modules, the course focuses on the latest tactical trends in global football while emphasising player development as the cornerstone of long-term success. Participants are being guided on how to refine their coaching approaches to ensure consistent qualification and competitive performances at the FIFA U17 and U20 World Cups.

This initiative forms a key part of the Football Association’s ongoing commitment to raising coaching standards, nurturing elite youth talent and strengthening the foundation of Ghana’s football development ecosystem.
