Ghana will meet African Nations Cup hosts, Angola in the quarter-finals on Sunday in Luanda after finishing runners-up in Group B.

And ahead of the game against the hosts, Milovan Rajevac says Ghana knows the Angolan side well after a pre-tournament friendly back in November.

"We played a friendly against Angola two months ago (0-0 draw), we know them well," he said.

The Black Stars managed to salvage their campaign in a rather difficult group which had been reduced to three teams due to the withdrawal of Togo.

Ghana’s hopes were dealt a major blow following an opening 3-1 loss to Ivory Coast last Friday in Cabinda.

But needing a win to progress to the final eight of the competition amid injuries to key players, the team successfully achieved the result on the night as Ghana beat Burkina Faso 1-0 in the final group game to breathe easy.

Andre Ayew scored the decisive first half goal when he headed in a cross from Samuel Inkoom to send Ghana through to the final eight.

Ghana's reward was a last eight date with hosts Angola at Luanda's 11 November Stadium.
