Ghana begin their quest for a place at the African Under-17 Championship with final round away qualifier against South Africa on Saturday.

The Black Starlets who missed out of the previous Championship play the Amajimbos at the Sinaba Stadium in Daveyton on Saturday in the first leg of the decisive round.

Ahead of the game, Ghana's coach Paa Kwesi Fabin remains optimistic about his sides chances as he bids to reach next year's Championship in Morocco.

“We are well prepared for the game and I believe we have done enough to counter their unique style of play,” Fabin said.

“The boys will live up to expectation. We are very much ready for the game considering the progress of the boys.”

Ghana will host the return leg in a fortnight's time.
