The Black Starlets have arrived in Rabat ahead of their international friendly against the Morocco U17 side as part of preparations for the upcoming WAFU Zone B U17 Championship.
The Ghana U17 side arrived in Casablanca at around 10:30am on Thursday after departing Ghana earlier in the morning. The team subsequently continued their journey to Rabat, where they will be based for the duration of their stay.
Coach Kassim Mingle and his technical team are scheduled to put the players through a recovery training session this evening as they begin preparations for their first test in Morocco.
The Black Starlets will face the Morocco U17 side on Friday in the first of two planned international friendly matches. The game will provide the technical team with an opportunity to assess the players and work on their tactical plans ahead of the upcoming regional competition.
Ghana will also play a second friendly against Morocco before returning home on October 1. The two matches form part of the Black Starlets’ preparations for the WAFU Zone B U17 Championship, which will also serve as the qualifying tournament for the 2027 U17 Africa Cup of Nations.
