Black Maidens reach fourth World Cup

Ghana secure their place at the next FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup after winning 3-2 against Equatorial Guinea in Malabo on Saturday to complete back-to-back wins.

The World Cup will be staged by Costa Rica next year.

The Black Maidens, who would be making their fourth-straight appearance at the World Cup qualify on a 5-2 aggregate following a 2-0 first leg win in Accra.

Ghana won bronze at the 2012 World Cup in Azerbaijan where they made their third successive appearance at the finals.

Africa will have three representatives at next year's World Cup.
