Berekum City and Steadfast FC are back in the mix in Zone One A after securing their spots in the UMB Division One League for the 2026/27 season. The two clubs suffered relegation two seasons ago but have made a quick return to the second-tier league following qualification from the Brong Ahafo and Northern Region Division Two Leagues.
Steadfast FC will begin their journey against Wa Power at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Friday as they push for one of the two slots for the Premier League promotion playoff. Last season's finalists Tamale City have a derby against Northern City at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday, while Real Tamale United travel to the Yendi Youth Resource Centre as guests of Sankara Nationals.
In Zone One B, Victory Club Warriors will clash with Bectero Sasana FC at the Wenchi Sports Stadium. Another match that promises to be full of fireworks will be between Eleven Wonders and Mighty Royals at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman. Dormaa Unity FC will also do battle with Techiman Liberty Youth at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in Dormaa Ahenkro on Sunday.
The two top teams from this Zone will qualify for the playoff to determine the side that will play in the 2027/28 Ghana Premier League.
