AshantiGold's surge up the table in the Glo Premier League continues to plummet after drawing 1-1 with Aduana Stars at the Len Clay Stadium on Wednesday.

The Miners, who had been challenging runaway winners, Kotoko, for the title have now slipped to fourth on the table.

Francis Larbi drew first blood against AshantiGold two minutes after the start of the second half but striker Mohammed Yakubu was on hand to salvage a point for the Miners.

Yakubu equalised for the home team in the 53rd minute, when he scored from the spot kick.

After a seven-game winning run, the Miners have now drawn four of their last five matches and lost a game.
