Defending Champions Asante Kotoko thumped Division two side Birim DC United 5-2 to qualify to the Round of 16 of the 2014/2015 MTN FA Cup Competition.
Latif Awudu grabbed a hat-trick whilst Richard Oti and Prince Baffoe added the other two goals for the Porcupine Warriors.
Samuel Owusu and Derek Delasi both scored for Birim DC United, but it was not enough as Kotoko sail through to join fifteen (15) other Clubs who have made it through to the next stage of the competition.
The match between Great Astronomers and New Edubiase has been put on hold pending the Appeals Committee’s decision on Berekum Chelsea’s appeal case.
Best Player of the game went to Stephen Oduro of Kotoko, whilst the Best Defender also went to Atta Kusi also of Kotoko.
Birim DC Utd’s Stanley Akwetey won the Most Promising Player award for the match.
