Abdulai Alhassan elected as Northern Regional Football Association Chairman

Abdulai Alhassan has been elected as the Northern Regional Football Association Chairman after beating incumbent Adam Munkaila at the elections held on Friday October 2.

At the end of the voting, Abdulai Alhassan pulled 49 votes while Adam Munkaila had 30 out of the total vote cast.

Alhassan will therefore represent the region on the next National Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association.

In a related development, Alhaji Daudi Sadugu Yahaya has retained his position as Chairman of the Upper West Regional Football Association

Delegates endorsed him unanimously to represent the region at the GFA Executive Committee for the next four years as he was the only one who vied to contest for the position.

Salifu Shaibu Zida has also retained his position as Chairman of the Upper East Regional Football Association after receiving a unanimous endorsement from delegates at Friday's congress. Shaibu Zida contested unopposed.
