Real Tamale United bounced back from their heavy 4-1 defeat to Ebusua Dwarfs in their opening Group A game with an impressive 4-1 victory over Debibi United at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

Abdul Rahim Lamale opened the scoring in the 3rd minute before Emmanuel Owusu doubled RTU’s advantage in the 25th minute to give the Pride of the North a 2-0 lead at the break.

Debibi United pulled one back through Leslie Aryeetey in the 74th minute to set up a tense finish, but Real Tamale United restored their two-goal cushion when Rahim Akanta converted from the penalty spot in the 81st minute to double his tally for the tournament.

RTU added a fourth goal late on to seal a convincing 4-1 victory and get their campaign back on track.

The result takes Real Tamale United to three points in Group A, level with Ebusua Dwarfs who have a game in hand, while Debibi United remain on one point after two matches.
