WPL match report: Hasaacas Ladies 1-0 Berry Ladies

Hassacas Ladies FC ended the first round of the Women’s Premier League on a high after a 1-0 win against Berry Ladies at the Gyandu park on Saturday. The weekend top liner, was between the zones’ two top teams.

Milot Abena Pokua scored an absolute stunner to win the day for Hasaacas Ladies to take them to the top of the table with 18 points, overtaking Berry Ladies who are now in second place with 16 points.

Milot converted a freekick from the edge of the box after Veronica Appiah was brought down, few yards behind the box.

The home side held on to end the first half 1-0.

Berry Ladies pressed for an equalizer in the second half as they dominated possession but could not break through the gallant defense of Hasaacas ladies as the Janet Egyiri led defence did not disappoint.

Hasaacas ladies defender Faustina Nyame Aidoo was adjudged the NASCO player of the match.

In attendance was the Chairperson of the Women's Premier League management Committee, Madam Hilary Boaten.
