Abraham Wayo and Adamu Amadu scored in either half as Liberty Professionals continued their flying start to the second half of the season with a 2-0 win against Berekum Chelsea.

The Scientific soccer lads have won three out of four games in the second round – keeping three clean sheets and scoring 7 goals in the process.

Abrahma Wayo opened the scoring inside 6 minutes at the Red Bull arena in Sogakope after picking a delightful pass from the midfield.

The Berekum lads have not won a single away game this season but pushed for the equalizer before the break.

The former League champions started the second half brilliantly – kept the ball for the larger part of the opening stages but could not convert the chances that came their way.

Liberty Professionals goalkeeper Kofi Baah pulled a stupendous safe inside 55 minutes to keep his side in the game.

After a series of exchanges, Adamu Amadu scored the second goal for Liberty Professionals in the 79th minute to put them in the driving seat – dashing the hopes of the visitors.

Liberty Professionals have yet to lose a game in three attempts – picking three wins from four games. They began the second of the campaign with a 2-0 loss to Bechem United – but have since not lost a match – beating Elmina Sharks (4-0), Eleven Wonders (1-0) and Berekum Chelsea (2-0).

The win has taking them out of the relegation zone – up in 14th place with 24 points. Berekum Chelsea are 10th with 27 points – three richer than Liberty Professionals.
