WAFU B U20: Maxwell Konadu makes changes as Black Satellites target vital victory against Togo

Black Satellites head coach Maxwell Konadu has named his starting XI for Ghana's decisive Group B encounter against Togo at the 2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship, with the team aiming to end the group stage on a winning note at the Charles Konan Banny (CKB) Stadium in Yamoussoukro, Côte d'Ivoire.

Goalkeeper Richard Serebuor Otuo retains his place between the posts. In defence, Emmanuel Konadu Agyemang comes in to replace the suspended Kofi Junior Kumah, partnering Barhama Issah and Humaid Fuseini in the backline.

Captain Kelvin Nkrumah continues to lead the side and is joined in the starting line-up by Osafo Antwi, Mohammed Zaidan, Daniel Alabi and Joseph Badu, all of whom retain their places following the spirited draw against Burkina Faso.

Konadu has made two further changes, with Wunzalgu Abdul Latif and Samuel Ashawa handed starting roles in place of Benjamin Tsivanyo and David Keke Anane as the Black Satellites seek greater attacking impetus in their final group fixture.

Ghana heads into the match knowing that only victory will keep alive their hopes of reaching the semi-finals. In addition to securing all three points, the Black Satellites will also be hoping defending champions Nigeria defeat Burkina Faso by a sufficient margin to swing the goal difference in Ghana's favour.

Regardless of the outcome, the WAFU B U-20 Championship has provided the technical team with a valuable opportunity to assess the squad in a competitive environment, strengthen team cohesion and continue preparations for the 2027 TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, where Ghana has already qualified automatically as tournament hosts.
