Wa AllStars picked all three points in their first game of the season after winning 1-0 against Berekum Chelsea in Wa on Sunday.

Both sides ended the first half goalless but the home team could have finished off their opponents before the break.

Fourteen minutes into the restart of the game, the Blues stormed into the lead as Steven Nyarko's goal proved to be the match winner.

The game produced just one yellow card with Wa AllStars' Ismail Ganiyu going into the book in the 85th minute.

Elsewhere in Tema, Inter Allies started off with an important 2-0 win over Medeama.

Lord Ofosuhene put the home side in front after 10 minutes before Ndiaye Benogo doubled their advantage in the 72nd minute.
