Wa All Stars break Phobian hearts

Hearts of Oak's charge for the top suffered on Sunday in the last match of the first round following a massive defeat to Wa All Stars.

The Blues thrashed the Phobians 3-0 in Wa to move out of the relegation zone.

The loss, the first for new coach Mohammed Polo and the biggest margin that the Phobians have gone down this season will not go down well with their Club's supporters.

Denis Adusei opened the scoring in the 25th minute before two-goal hero Paul De-Vries Asare scored the second ten minutes later.

Wa All Stars went into the break two goals up and after the break, Hearts of Oak pushed to pull a goal back but they were undone by the determined home side.

De-Vries Asare made it three-nil to seal the fate of the Phobians as the was no way back for Polo's side.

At the Baba Yara Stadium, King Faisal won 2-1 against Bechem United.

Wilson Andoh and Abdulai Yaserbos scored for Faisal before Sadat Mohammed got the consolation for Bechem.

In Obuasi, AshantiGold drew goalless with Berekum Cheslea while Aduana Stars also shared the spoils with New Edubiase in their goalless drawn game in Dorma.
