The Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) has secured a headline sponsorship deal worth GH¢150,000 for the upcoming 2025/26 Division Two League season.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) formalizing the partnership was signed on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the Volta Regional FA Secretariat between VRFA Chairman, Daniel Agbogah and Martin Davidson, CEO of Mart ‘D’ Electrical and Construction Works, the headline sponsor.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman Daniel Agbogah expressed deep gratitude to the company for its timely support, emphasising how crucial the investment is for the sustainability and growth of regional football.
“On behalf of the Executive Council and all stakeholders in Volta football, I wish to express our profound gratitude to the CEO and management of Mart ‘D’ Electricals for coming to our aid at such a crucial time,” Agbogah said.
“This sponsorship is a game changer. It eases the financial burden on our clubs and will go a long way in enhancing the organization and competitiveness of our leagues. I can assure you that every cedi will be put to effective and judicious use to promote the development of football across the Volta Region.”
The VRFA Chairman also noted that the Executive Council has decided not to increase club registration or participation fees for the new season, reaffirming its commitment to easing the financial load on member clubs while improving the quality of competitions.
Mart ‘D’ Electrical and Construction Works CEO, Martin Davidson, commended the leadership of the VRFA for its vision and commitment to transforming football in the region.
“I have been following the progress of the Volta RFA for some time and have been impressed by the passion, dedication, and professionalism of its leadership,” Davidson said.
“As a proud supporter of youth development and sports, our company is delighted to partner with the RFA to create opportunities for young talents in the Volta and Oti Regions. This initiative will give many young people hope and a platform to pursue a career in football.”
Mart ‘D’ Electrical and Construction Works is a Ghanaian-owned company specialising in electrical construction, installation, and engineering services.
Present at the ceremony were RFA Vice Chairman, Caesar Franklin Heh and RFA Secretary, Promise Michael Ahiagba, who joined both parties in celebrating the partnership for Volta football.
