U-19 Boys national team arrive in Switzerland for FC Basel friendlies

The National U-19 Boys team have arrived in Switzerland for a series of friendly matches against FC Basel 1893's youth teams as part of a collaboration deal between the two organizations.

The team, comprising 18 players and 6 officials, will play two friendly matches against FC Basel's U-21 and U-19 sides on July 23 and 25, 2025, respectively.

The matches will be played at the Nachwuchs Campus Basel, Academy FC Basel 1893, and will serve as a test for the team's progress over the past four months.

With our objective of making all national teams highly competitive and productive, these games will help achieve that goal.

This initiative is part of the GFA's efforts to develop young players and facilitate a smooth transition from the Black Starlets (U-17) to the Black Satellites (U-20) level. The team's technical staff hopes to assess the players' progress and fine-tune their skills in preparation for future assignments.
