A dramatic late strike by star man Kwesi Donsu handed Medema FC a remarkable 3:2 over TP Mazembe to move them closer to an historic semi finals of the CAF Confederations Cup.

In a must-win match full of anxiety and drama Medeama gave real meaning to their inspirational motto; "never give up" and indeed they never gave up when the situation looked daunting.

Medeama took a comfortable two-goal lead but the Congolese side hit back all two goals to set up a tense finale inside the Essipong stadium before Medeama snatched a sensational winner.

After half an hour without a goal, Atta Adjei put Medeama ahead in the 33rd minute and Moses Sarpong converted a 58th minute penalty to give Medeama what seemed an unassailable lead.

But TP Mezembe would not lie low and they quickly pulled one goal back just four minutes after Medeama's second through Jonathan Bolingi.

Just ten minutes later, danger man Kalaba stunned the home side with the equaliser, which ensured a tense, frustrating final minutes for Medeama.

With group rivals MO Bejaia losing in Tanzania on Saturday, Medeama were aware a win would give them a huge boos towards a semi final spot and they did all the could for the winner in the final minutes.

As the board went up at the end of 90 minutes for four minutes of additional time, many would have given up. But inspired by their motto, Medeama never gave and in the last minute of added time, star man Kwesi Donsu send the stadium agog with a dramatic winner.

Medeama are now second in the group and three points clear of Algerian side Bejaia ahead of their final match with the Algerians away.
