The ten regional champions in the Boys U17 Colts category for the 2025/2026 season are set to converge for the national championship in November, in what promises to be a major showcase of emerging football talent across Ghana.
Several regions have already crowned their representatives following fiercely contested inter District and Regional Competitions.
Cheetah FC emerged champions in the Central Region, while Bolga Soccer Masters Colts FC secured the Upper East Region crown.
In the Eastern Region, Show Show FC claimed the championship after an impressive campaign.
In the Northern Region, Young Lions captured the title, with Sunyani Great Young Kotoko emerging winners in the Brong Ahafo Region. Raymond FC also secured the Ashanti Region championship.
In the Greater Accra Region, Desidero Football Club booked their place at the national championship, while Yaasin FC emerged champions of the Upper West Region. Tarkwa Barcelona Babies will represent the Western Region after clinching the regional title.
The final regional slot will be determined in the Volta Region, where the Volta Regional Football Association is scheduled to host its championship final on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
With the regional champions now taking shape, attention will turn to the national championship in November, where the best U17 Colts club sides from across the country will battle for national supremacy.
The competition is expected to offer young players another important platform to test themselves against top opposition, gain valuable competitive experience and attract attention from national team scouts and clubs.
This national is yet a another pathway for national team selectors to recruit talent and for the Technical Directorate to enrich the talent identification database.
