Techiman City down All Stars to maintain unbeaten home record

Premier League debutants, Techiman City continued their remarkable home form by handing Wa All Stars their biggest defeat of the season so far.

Ebenezer Agyepong, Stephen Manu and Issaka Ibrahim were on the scoresheet for Techiman City whiles Mathew Andoh scored for Wa All Stars on a frustrating afternoon for the visitors, which saw relinquish top spot of the Ghana Premier League.

It was expected to be a tight contest, and even when Ebenezer Agyepong fired Techiman City into the lead in the 19 minute, a fight back from All stars was expected.

But it was the the homeside who doubled the lead early on the second half. Mathew Andoh gave All stars hope when he reduced the deficit in the 67.

The goal set up a nervy finale, but City maintained their composure and Issaka Ibrahim added a third ten minutes after All Stars' goal.

The defeat marked a second successive away defeat for All Stars, and with second-placed Hearts winning, All stars are now a point behind at second place.

For Techiman City, the boosted their standings on the league table as it lifted them up to 4 behind Hearts, All Stars and Aduana.
