Stephen Sarfo strike gives Berekum Chelsea vital point at Elmina

Elmina Sharks FC shared the spoils with Berekum Chelsea in their match day 13 Ghana Premier League tie at the Nduom stadium on Monday.

Elmina Sharks threw away a James Bissue early strike to draw 1-1 with the Blues. The home side made four changes to the squad that drew 0-0 with Eleven Wonders FC in midweek.

Dennis Mensah, Augustine Owusu and James Bissue started for Sharks.

And it was Bissue who drew the first blood after in the 28th minute after connecting a beautiful pass from Alhaji Mutapha to register the first goal of the game.

Two minutes later, Berekum replied through Stephen Sarfo who netted his first goal of the season to pull parity for the visitors with a Kofi Owusu assist.

Chelsea created numerous scoring chances in the last ten minutes of the game and should have clinched victory but squandered the opportunities that came their way.

The stalemate takes Sharks' unbeaten run to six with five of them ending in draws.

The draw is Berekum Chelsea’s first point on the road since their 1-1 draw against Legon Cities on the opening day of the season.
