The Black Stars have completed their first training session after jetting in on Tuesday, five clear days before their opening 2010 World Cup qualifier against Libya.

A large passionate crowd gathered at the Kumasi International Airport to welcome the team around midday.

Twenty-two players are in camp as the team awaits the arrival of Michael Essien on Wednesday.

All the squad members joined in the late afternoon training session at the Prempeh College Park.

The Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi would host Ghana's first 2010 World/African Cup of Nations match on Sunday.

The Baba Yara Stadium was the grounds the Black Stars used for all their home games in the run up to qualification for the 2006 World Cup and will expect to get off to a good start there on Sunday too.
