Fresh from their defeat to Port City, second-placed Semper FI FC will aim to bounce back when they host Attram De Visser in a Matchday 13 fixture at the McDan Astro Turf at Teshie. Semper FI, who led the table for three weeks, are now second in the log with 26 points – one point behind Port City. They have another chance to reclaim the top spot – with a win over Attram De Visser – but only if Port City draw or lose to WAFA in the other clash.

Semper FI boasts the record as the highest-scoring team in the Zone after netting 21 goals in the League. They have also conceded the least goals (6), sharing that record with leaders Port City, who have scored 18 goals. This match serves as an opportunity for them to boost their title charge with three matches left to end the first round of the League. Six points separate them as Attram De Visser occupy the third spot with 20 points – seven points off the top spot.

In another top fixture, League leaders Port City travel to Sogakope as guests of WAFA. After a sloppy start to the season, WAFA have improved tremendously with some impressive displays, leading them to an appreciable 6th place in the League table with 18 points. The Academy boys are unbeaten in their last five matches, following three wins and two draws, and will go into the match as favourites after such an impeccable record at home. They host a side that has picked up 13 points from a possible 15 – after 4 wins and one draw in their last five League outings. This sets up an intriguing contest at the WAF Park in Sogakope on Saturday. A win for WAFA could push them into the top four, while Port City will hold on to their lead with a win over the Academy boys.

Later on Sunday, two former Premier League sides, Accra Great Olympics and Okwahu United, will square off at the McDan Astro Turf at Teshie. These sides are having a torrid time in the League as they occupy the 10th and 11th positions, respectively, and are separated by only one point. Both clubs have won 4 matches in the League, but Great Olympics have raked in 4 draws, compared to Okwahu United’s three (3).

Other interesting fixtures to look forward to are FC Nania vs. Inter Allies at the Nania Park at Legon, as well as the match between True Democracy and Na God FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.
