Semper Fi FC secure home win over FC Nania, Inter Allies edge Great Olympics in Zone Three

Semper Fi FC secured a convincing 2-0 victory over FC Nania at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on Saturday in their Matchweek Two fixture of the UMB Division One League.

Samuel Adonteng Owusu opened the scoring in the 25th minute to put the hosts in front heading into halftime.

After the break, central defender Gideon Rockson put the result beyond doubt with a fine finish in the 80th minute to seal all three points for Semper Fi FC.

At the Tuba AstroTurf on Friday, Attram De Visser were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by former Premier League side Accra Lions.

The hosts took the lead in the 16th minute through captain Alfred Amoah, who produced a superb strike to put Attram De Visser ahead. Accra Lions restored parity before halftime through Christian Bolonjo, who fired a sensational low finish inside the penalty area to level the scores.

The visitors were reduced to ten men in the 54th minute following a dismissal, but Attram De Visser failed to capitalize despite dominating possession and creating several chances after the break.

Elsewhere, former Premier League side Great Olympics suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Inter Allies at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium. After a goalless first half, substitute Amos Teye Okutu made the decisive impact shortly after coming off the bench.

The forward brilliantly took on three defenders before rounding the goalkeeper and producing a composed finish to give Inter Allies the lead in the 50th minute.

The goal proved to be the difference as Inter Allies held on to secure all three points.
