Schalke hunt for Appiah
Bundesliga side, Schalke 04 are bidding to recruit Ghana captain, Stephen Appiah, the German club's new president Josef Schnusenberg said Monday.
"We're going to do everything we can to acquire the player," said Schnusenberg of the 26-year-old midfielder who is under contract to Turkish side Fenerbahce until 2009.
Appiah joined Fenerbahce two seasons ago from Italy's Juventus and contributed immensely to the club's lifting of the Turkish title in just ended season.
