Sellas Tetteh is eager to keep his side focused for Saturday’s crunch group A match against hosts, Rwanda at the African Youth Championship as both sides stay in contentions of booking places in the last four.

Ghana, who remain on top with four points from two matches, lead Rwanda on goal difference and could go through to the next stage even with a draw from their clash at the Amahoro Stadium which is expected to be filled by a partisan home crowd.

The situation in the group is further complicated by the fact that Cameroon on two points are capable of reaching the semi finals if the secure a win against Mali, who have lost their two games are effectively out of contention.

The threat posed by the Cameroonians to the hosts, Rwanda, makes the game against Ghana a difficult one.

And certainly, the hosts will fight till the final whistle as Ghana coach Sellas Tetteh sees today’s fixture as the most challenging for the Black Satellites as he told kickoffghana.com.

“Rwandans are sound technically. Have a few skilful players and backed by their home fans are difficult but we will deal with them. It won’t be easy but the ultimate is to qualify for the World Cup and we will do everything to ensure that.”

Despite Ghana’s position at the top of group A ahead of the game against Rwanda, Sellas Tetteh says the Black Satellites are caught up in the ‘group of death’.

“We are on top but not too comfortable because the group has been tight and it’s still going to be difficult till the last matches. People were right to call it the group of death because it’s getting tighter and tighter but believe with our capabilities we will qualify for that game.”

The Ghana team received a major boost on Friday after defender, Jonathan Mensah finally joined up with the rest of the Black Satellites team.

Jonathan Mensah had missed out of Ghana’s two games after South African club side; Free State Stars delayed his release because of club commitments.

The player’s arrival presents Sellas Tetteh with more options in defence for the crucial game against Rwanda after having used Phillip Boampong and Daniel Addo in the two previous matches.
