The Women’s FA Cup semi-final at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium delivered an exciting encounter as Army Ladies produced a dominant performance to defeat Samartex Ladies 5–1 and secure a place in the final.
Army Ladies started the match with great intensity and were rewarded in the 39th minute when Alamisi Atakaga opened the scoring with a well-taken finish, giving her side a deserved lead before halftime.
Samartex Ladies tried to respond after the break, and the pressure paid off again in the 60th minute when Alex Ibinabo Georgewill got the equalizer.
Linda Achiaa added a third in the 80th minute, Esther Asamoah Yiadom came through with the fourth on the 86th minute before Afia Boaduwa Twumwaa added a 90+5’ minute goal to seal a comprehensive 5–1 victory.
