Coaches participating in the Free GFA’s License D Coaching Course in the Central Region received essential safeguarding and integrity training last week, as part of ongoing efforts to equip grassroots coaches with tools to protect young players from harm and unethical practices.

Delivered by Safeguarding Officer, Obed Tuffour, the session provided practical insights into safeguarding principles, including recognizing abuse, setting boundaries between players and young players, and creating player-friendly environments.

The training also addressed match-fixing risks and the red flags of player trafficking a growing concern across the continent (Africa).

Participants were engaged in discussions, shared experiences, and were encouraged to become advocates for ethical conduct in their respective clubs and districts.
