Sadat Bukari is eyeing a League and African Champions League double with his Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel.
The Ghanaian international is thriving in the North African country and told KickOffGhana.com he expects to win more silverware this season following his success with the Tunisians in the Caf Champions League last year.
“There are about four games to the end of the League and we are sitting comfortable. I would expect that we will wrap up the title after which we will turn out attention to doing well in Africa.”
The Tunisian champions have had a busy last year winning the champions league and making the long trip to Japan to play in the World Club championships.
Bukari reckons that for them to get there again, rest is vital for the players.
“Many of the players are tired and need rest. When we return freshened up, I think Etoile will really thrill in the Champions League.”
Bukari’s ability to settle in Tunisia is in sharp contrast to the many Ghanaian players in the past who have gone there and returned home complaining about either the weather, language, the food or racism.
Goalkeeper Sammy Adjei and Charles Taylor could not survive at the peak of their game and Bukari understands why.
“It is a tough place. The language is a major barrier so you tend to be lonely and bored for long hours. But if you are determined, there are some things you must be able to deal with,” he adds.
