All 10 Regional Football Associations (RFAs) and the two GFA Elite U15 Academies have officially submitted their squad lists to the Competitions Department of the Ghana Football Association ahead of the 2025 Elite U15 Boys Colts Championship.
The submission, a key requirement for participation, will enable the Competitions Department to verify the eligibility of players before the tournament kicks off on Monday, August 25, 2025, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE), Prampram.
The squad lists will undergo strict scrutiny to ensure compliance with the competition’s regulations, including player age verification and proper registration.
In addition to the initial verification process, there will be further physical screening and checks at the GSCE upon the arrival of the teams. This second layer of screening is aimed at strengthening transparency and ensuring that only duly qualified players feature in the prestigious youth competition.
This year’s edition will feature 12 teams—the 10 football regions plus the Elite U15 Academies in Kumasi and Bolgatanga, who will be competing for the first time. Their participation is expected to add quality and intensity to the championship, which has quickly become one of the most important platforms for unearthing young football talent in Ghana.
Anticipation is growing as the football fraternity awaits another thrilling edition of the Elite U15 Boys Colts Championship, a tournament that continues to play a crucial role in Ghana’s grassroots football development.
