Referee Tagoe selected for Women Championship

Ghanaian referee Mercy Tagoe has been selected by the Confederation of African Football - Caf - to officiate at the 7th African Women Championship in South Africa.

Tagoe is the only Ghanaian and one of the eight referees named by Caf for the continent’s flagship women tournament. The continental sport body has also selected eight assistant referees.

She officiated the final match at the last edition of the competition in Equatorial Guinea.
