President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has held a fruitful and highly engaging interaction with the leadership of the Sissala East Municipal Football Association, club officials and Catch Them Young Referees, as he brought his tour of the Upper West Region to a close on Tuesday, January 3, 2026.

The historic engagement took place at the Sissala East Municipal Hall in Tumu, where officials from clubs across the municipality gathered for an open and interactive session aimed at strengthening collaboration and deepening grassroots football development.

The meeting formed part of the GFA President’s broader effort to directly engage stakeholders at the community level and listen to the voices shaping the game on the ground.

Earlier, President Simeon-Okraku paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive, Honourable Adamu Yakubu, at his office, where discussions focused on areas of mutual interest, particularly the role of football in youth development and community growth.

The stakeholder engagement provided a platform for participants to ask relevant questions, share experiences and raise concerns affecting football development within the municipality.

President Simeon-Okraku welcomed the feedback, reiterating that such engagements are critical in informing policy decisions and shaping responsive, inclusive interventions.

He reaffirmed the GFA’s commitment to working closely with local football authorities, clubs and officials to address challenges, strengthen structures and create opportunities for young talents across the country.

The meeting marked a fitting conclusion to the President’s Upper West Regional tour, underscoring his administration’s people-centered approach and dedication to building Ghana football from the grassroots through dialogue, partnership and sustained investment.
