President Simeon-Okraku joins Sports Minister as Vice-President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang pays working visit to Sports Ministry

President of the Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, on Thursday, January 22, 2026, joined the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, as Vice-President of the Republic, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, paid a working visit to the Ministry of Sports and Recreation.

The visit formed part of the Vice-President’s engagement with key sectors of government, during which she commended the Ministry and the wider sports industry for their efforts in advancing sports development in the country.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang pledged her full support to the sector, assuring stakeholders of the timely release of logistics and resources to enhance efficiency and improve overall performance.

President Simeon-Okraku was part of a high-level delegation that included the Sports and Recreation Minister, Kofi Adams and the Chief Director of the Ministry, Mrs. Wilhelmina Asamoah.

As a highlight of the visit, Sports Minister Kofi Adams presented a national team jersey to the Vice-President as a symbol of unity, national pride and government’s commitment to supporting Ghanaian sports.
