It's honours time again with the search for the Glo Premier League's Most Valuable Player to be decided Friday night at the Awards Night in Accra.

The Premier League Board (PLB) will be conferring honours on individuals and organisations for their distinguished roles in the just ended 2009/2010 soccer season.

Aduana Stars might have made history by becoming the first side to win the premiership in their debut season but the night will also be rewarding for other persons.

From being the discovery of the year last season, Hearts of Oak's new signing Mahatma Otoo is in the race for the league's MVP but faces competition from Berekum Chelsea’s Lee Addy who picked the best defender prize in the previous season.

Also in the hunt for the award is Kessben FC's marksman, Bismark Idan who finished the season as joint top-scorer though there was no place for last season's winner, Joseph Ato Bissah.

Aside the night's flagship award, various prizes for excellent performances will be handed out.

The goal king award will go Bismark Idan and Samuel Affum of Hearts of Oak as they both finished with 13 goals apiece, three short of Alex Asamoah's 16 scored for last season.

Black Stars defender, Lee Addy will be looking at successfully reclaiming the defender of the season award but he has beat off competition from Hearts of Oak's Karim Alhassan and Daniel Addo of King Faisal.

Aduana Stars' shot stopper Stephen Adams makes it into the final three for the Goalkeeper of the Season Award.

After conceding 10 goals in 29 matches which helped his side to the title, Adams is in a good position to pick the award ahead of Stephen Ahorlu of Kpando Heart of Lions, who came third last season and Liberty Professionals’ Daniel Agyei.

Crafting a title success for Aduana Stars on their debut season, coach Herbert Addo, third best in the Best Coach of the Season category last season will contend with David Duncan of AshantiGold and King Faisal's Zdravko Lugaracic for the award.
