In-form Hearts of Oak will be eyeing back-to-back victories as they continue their unbeaten run, while second-placed Medeama SC welcome Premier League returnees Swedru All Blacks in a highly anticipated Tarkwa showdown. Karela United will look to bounce back to winning ways at home, with Nations FC also seeking a much-needed revival after a sluggish start to the campaign. Elsewhere, FC Samartex 1996 and Young Apostles aim to maintain their promising form as they push to solidify their places among the league’s early pacesetters.

Hearts of Oak vs Gold Stars

Accra Hearts of Oak will be aiming for consecutive league victories for the first time this season when they welcome defending champions Bibiani Gold Stars FC to the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

The Phobians enter this Matchday 7 fixture brimming with confidence after an impressive 2-0 away triumph over Berekum Chelsea last weekend, a result that extended their unbeaten run in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season. That win marked Hearts’ third of the campaign and reinforced their growing reputation as serious title contenders in Mas-Ud Didi Dramani’s second season in charge.

Currently sitting third on the league table with 12 points from six matches, Hearts remain one of only two sides yet to concede a goal this term. Despite scoring only four goals so far, their strength has been built on a rock-solid defensive structure that continues to frustrate opponents.

Dramani’s men boast the longest unbeaten streak in the league, stretching to 13 games (W8, D5) — a run that extends to 17 matches in all competitions (W11, D6). During that period, they have conceded just three goals, underlining the effectiveness of their disciplined backline.

At home, however, Hearts have found goals hard to come by, scoring just once in three matches at the Accra Sports Stadium (W1, D2). They will look to improve that record in front of their fans as they aim to maintain their unbeaten start. The last time the Phobians tasted defeat in the Premier League was back in April 2025, when they fell 2-0 away to Aduana FC.

Bibiani Gold Stars FC have also made a strong start to the campaign. The Miners head into the encounter on the back of a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea in their outstanding Matchday Three fixture on Thursday. That result lifted them to fourth on the table, level on 12 points with Hearts, after four wins and two losses from six matches.

Gold Stars have scored seven goals and conceded the same number this season, making them one of the most entertaining sides in the division. However, their away form has been a concern. They have suffered back-to-back away defeats to Vision FC and Asante Kotoko, and have lost three of their last four games on the road across all competitions. In fact, they have failed to score in their last two away matches since their narrow 1-0 win at Swedru on Matchday Four.

The defending champions will be eager to end their two-game winless streak away from home when they make the long journey south to face the Phobians.

Head-to-Head  Since the 2021/22 season, Hearts of Oak and Bibiani Gold Stars have met four times at the venue, with each side recording two wins apiece. The Phobians triumphed in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 campaigns, while Gold Stars claimed narrow 1-0 victories in both the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons.

Medeama SC vs Swedru All Blacks

A daunting challenge awaits Premier League returnees Swedru All Blacks as they travel to the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium on Sunday to face second-placed Medeama SC, who are determined to strengthen their title charge with another dominant home performance.

Medeama SC recorded a dramatic 1-1 draw against FC Samartex 1996 last weekend, a result earned through a last-gasp equalizer that underlined their resilience and Premier League mentality. The Mauve and Yellow, under head coach Ibrahim Tanko, have enjoyed a blistering start to the 2025/26 campaign, collecting 13 points from six matches (W4, D1, L1).

Their impressive run has been fueled by a potent attack that has already produced a league-high 11 goals, while their defense remains solid, conceding just four times. Medeama’s remarkable home form continues to make the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium one of the most difficult venues for visiting sides. They are unbeaten in their last four home games this season (W3, D1) and have now recorded 11 victories in their past 13 home matches across all competitions (D1, L1).

Swedru All Blacks head to Tarkwa seeking to reverse their inconsistent start to life back in the top flight. They sit 12th on the table with six points after six rounds of matches (W2, L4).

Their biggest concern, however, lies in their away form. All Blacks have lost all three of their away fixtures this season, conceding two goals in each, including a disappointing 2-0 defeat to fellow newcomers Hohoe United on Matchday Five.

Head-to-Head RecordSunday’s clash will mark the first-ever competitive meeting between Medeama SC and Swedru All Blacks in the Ghana Premier League.

Karela United vs Bechem United

Karela United will be eager to return to winning ways when they welcome Bechem United to the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday.

After a promising start to the 2025/26 campaign, Karela United’s form has dipped in recent weeks. The Tamale-based side went unbeaten in their opening three league matches (W2, D1), but they have since struggled to maintain that momentum, failing to win any of their last three fixtures (D2, L1). Their most recent outing, a 1-1 draw away to Premier League returnees Eleven Wonders on Monday, extended their winless streak to three.

Head coach Nurudeen Amadu will be keen to see his team rediscover their early-season sharpness and attacking confidence as they aim to climb the table. Karela currently sit 8th with nine points from six matches, having scored five goals and conceded six.

Bechem United travel to Tamale with renewed optimism after finally recording their first win of the season — a convincing 2-0 triumph over Vision FC at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park last Sunday. That victory lifted some of the pressure off head coach Stephen Desmond-Issah Botchway, whose side had endured a difficult start (D2, L3) before that result.

Head-to-Head Record

Karela United have enjoyed the upper hand in this fixture in recent years. In their last five home meetings with Bechem United in the Premier League since the 2020/21 season, Karela have lost just once (W3, D1, L1), making the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium a particularly challenging venue for the visitors.

FC Samartex 1996 vs Hohoe United

FC Samartex 1996 will look to extend their impressive unbeaten run in the Premier League when they welcome newly promoted Hohoe United to the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday.

Samartex have made a solid start to the 2025/26 campaign, registering two wins and four draws in their opening six matches. Their defensive organization has been the bedrock of their success, with just three goals conceded so far. In fact, the Timber giants have not allowed more than one goal in any of their last 12 matches across all competitions (W6, D4, L2).

At home, FC Samartex have been formidable, currently ranked as the fifth-best home side in the league. They have claimed back-to-back victories at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, defeating Aduana FC and Eleven Wonders, while drawing once in their three home outings.

Hohoe United will be eager to bounce back following a disappointing 2-0 home defeat to Aduana FC last weekend, a result that ended their hopes of securing a third straight victory in their debut Premier League campaign. Before that setback, the newly promoted side had impressed with commanding wins over Karela United (4-1) and Swedru All Blacks (2-0), showcasing their attacking potential.

The Hohoe-based outfit, led by Tijani Abdul Rahim Bashiru, currently sit 10th on the league table with eight points from six matches. They have scored seven goals, the joint second-highest tally in the league this season, but their defensive frailties have been exposed, conceding six times.

Head-to-Head This match marks the first-ever Premier League meeting between FC Samartex 1996 and Hohoe United at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, following the latter’s promotion to the top flight this season.

Nations FC vs Eleven Wonders

Nations FC will be eager to reignite their season when they host winless Eleven Wonders at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Sunday.

The Abrankese-based club have endured a slow start to the 2025/26 season, collecting just five points from their opening six matches (W1, D2, L3). Currently positioned in the lower half of the table, they have scored only three goals while conceding six, a stark contrast to their impressive form at the same stage last season, when they sat fifth with an unbeaten record.

Head coach Kassim Mingle Ocansey will be desperate to inspire a turnaround as his side searches for just their second league win of the campaign. Nations FC have managed only one victory in their last 10 matches across all competitions (D2, L7).

Nations are unbeaten at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex this season, recording one win and two draws from three home games while scoring twice and conceding just once.

Eleven Wonders continue to battle early-season woes as they enter Matchday 7 still searching for their first win of the campaign. They sit in the relegation zone with only two points from six matches (D2, L4), a run that includes four consecutive defeats.

Head-to-Head RecordThis match marks the first-ever competitive meeting between Nations FC and Eleven Wonders in the Premier League.

Young Apostles vs Berekum Chelsea

Young Apostles will be looking to continue their fine run of form when they welcome struggling Berekum Chelsea to the Wenchi Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in a Bono regional derby that promises contrasting ambitions for both sides.

After a shaky start to their second Premier League campaign, Apostles have hit top gear in recent weeks. They opened the season with a home defeat to Medeama SC and a draw away to Hohoe United by mid-September, but since then, Abdul Henan’s men have been unstoppable, winning each of their last three league matches.

The Apostles have now played five league matches, recording three wins, one draw, and one defeat, while scoring six goals and conceding four.

Berekum Chelsea have managed just one win from six matches (W1, D1, L4), collecting four points and languishing in the relegation zone. Their defensive frailties have been exposed, conceding a joint league-high eight goals while scoring only three.

Last weekend’s 0-2 home defeat to Hearts of Oak at the Golden City Park extended their frustrating run of six consecutive home games without scoring against the Phobians (D3, L3). Adding to their woes, they suffered a narrow 1-0 away loss to defending champions Bibiani Gold Stars in their Matchweek 4 outstanding fixture, further denting their confidence.

Head coach Samuel Boadu faces growing pressure as his side struggles to find form on the road. Chelsea are winless in their last three Premier League away fixtures (D1, L2) and have won only once in their past six league trips (D1, L4). The Blues will need a significant improvement if they are to end their winless run and salvage pride in this regional clash.

Head-to-Head
The two sides have met just once at the Wenchi Sports Stadium since Young Apostles’ promotion to the top flight in 2024, with the hosts emerging 2-1 winners in that encounter.
