Matchweek 10 offers exciting battles across the league, from relegation struggles to top-four ambitions. With home fortresses under threat, unbeaten record on the line and revenge missions in play, fans can expect another enthralling weekend of Premier League football.
Asante Kotoko vs Aduana FC
Things are looking bright for Premier League leaders Aduana FC, who have pieced together an impressive run of form with four consecutive victories. However, their biggest test of the season awaits on Sunday, November 16, 2025, when they travel to Kumasi to face Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Coach Abdul Karim Zito’s Asante Kotoko head into the fixture as the only unbeaten side in the league this season. The Porcupine Warriors followed their narrow 1-0 win over arch-rivals Hearts of Oak with a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Vision FC in their outstanding matchweek seven encounter.
Kotoko currently sit 7th on the table with 15 points from seven matches (W4, D3), with two outstanding games in hand—fixtures that could significantly elevate their league position.
Defensively, Kotoko have been unmatched. They boast the best defensive record in the league, having conceded only two goals, both in a 4-2 victory over Karela United.
Kotoko also hold a psychological edge, having beaten Aduana FC three times in their last five home meetings (D1, L1).
Stopping Aduana FC appears a difficult task at present. The Fire Club maintained their momentum with a 0-0 draw against Medeama SC in Dormaa last weekend, extending their unbeaten run to five matches (W4, D1) while conceding just one goal in that stretch.
Aduana sit top of the league with 19 points, having scored nine goals and conceded four, the joint second-best defensive record this season.
Bottom-three side Bechem United are hoping to secure their first win since matchweek six when they host FC Samartex 1996.
The Hunters suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat to Young Apostles last weekend, marking their fifth loss of the campaign and leaving them stuck in the relegation zone with 6 points from nine games.
Despite their struggles, Bechem United have been solid at home. They remain unbeaten at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park with one win and three draws, and are one of only two teams yet to concede a home goal this season. They have a perfect home record against Samartex, winning all three previous meetings without conceding—a stat that will boost their confidence as they seek a much-needed turnaround.
FC Samartex 1996 bounced back from their last away defeat with a 1-0 victory over Swedru All Blacks last Sunday. With 16 points from nine matches, the Timber giants aim for consecutive wins for just the second time this season. However, their struggles away from home continue, they are winless on the road this season (D3, L1), scoring only once and failing to win an away match since April 2025. They hope to end their four-match winless away run and secure their first victory in Bechem since 2022.
Head-to-HeadBechem United have hosted Samartex three times, winning all three without conceding (W3).
Heart of Lions vs Young Apostles
Two of the league’s standout performers clash as Heart of Lions welcome Young Apostles in what promises to be one of the top fixtures of Matchweek 10.
Heart of Lions have been exceptional this season, registering five wins, three draws, and just one defeat, a 3-1 loss to champions Gold Stars on matchweek six. Their 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea last Sunday lifted them to third place with 18 points. The Kpando side boast the league’s second-highest goal tally (12) and the joint-third best defensive record (5 conceded).
Crucially, Lions are perfect at home this season (W4), scoring six goals without conceding. Their incredible home form stretches to nine consecutive home wins in all competitions.
Young Apostles have also found their rhythm after a poor opening-day defeat to Medeama. The Wenchi-based side have produced four wins, two draws, and one loss in their last seven matches, marking their best-ever Premier League start since promotion in 2024. They sit 8th with 14 points, having scored 10 and conceded eight.
Away from home, they have picked up four points from three matches (W1, D1, L1) and look eager to secure their second away win of the season. They also have an outstanding away fixture against Asante Kotoko scheduled for November 19.
Head-to-HeadHeart of Lions have hosted Young Apostles once, winning 1-0.
Champions Bibiani Gold Stars FC will be eager to bounce back after last weekend’s shock 2-0 defeat to Basake Holy Stars, their third league loss of the season. The Miners sit on 16 points, having scored 10 goals, the joint-third highest, but conceded 11, the joint-second highest in the league.
Gold Stars have struggled on the road this season but remain formidable at Dun’s Park, winning all four home games and conceding just twice. They will look to extend their perfect home record and get their season back on track.
Karela United drew 1-1 with Dreams FC last weekend, their fourth draw of the campaign, the joint highest. With 13 points from nine games, Karela have been inconsistent and continue to struggle defensively, conceding 11 goals.
Their away form is a concern: no wins in four matches (D2, L2), and they have managed just one win in their last 15 away league games. Interestingly, that lone victory came against Gold Stars in a 1-0 win. Coach Nurudeen Amadu will be pushing for another upset as they pursue their first away win of the season.
Head-to-Head
Gold Stars dominate at home, winning three of four meetings since 2020 (W3, L1).
Berekum Chelsea return home hoping for a change in fortunes after a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to Heart of Lions last weekend.
That defeat dropped them to 14th on the table, leaving them with just 8 points in nine matches. Their attack has been lacklustre (5 goals scored), while their defense has conceded 10—the joint-third highest tally in the league.
Chelsea have had mixed results at home with two wins and two defeats, and need to rediscover their winning touch to climb out of danger.
Nations FC enter the weekend in 12th place with 10 points, and are currently unbeaten in their last three matches (W1, D2). Despite their improving form, their away record is worrying (D1, L3), with no goals scored in three out of four away outings. The Abrankese side have struggled historically at Golden City Park and will hope to avoid a third straight defeat there.
Head-to-HeadBerekum Chelsea have beaten Nations FC twice at home, both by 1-0 scorelines.
Basake Holy Stars will look to build on their breakthrough first win of the season when they host Vision FC at the AAK II Arena on Sunday.
Holy Stars finally brought an end to their miserable seven-game winless spell (D2, L5) with a shock 2-0 triumph over defending champions Bibiani Gold Stars FC last weekend. That result not only marked their first league victory of the campaign but also snapped a 12-match winless run across all competitions (D3, L8).
Despite the morale-boosting win, they remain in deep relegation trouble, sitting 17th on the table with just five points, the second-lowest tally in the league. Their struggles have stemmed largely from their poor attacking output, with only three goals scored all season, the league’s fewest. Defensively, they have conceded 11 goals, the joint-second highest.
Vision FC travel to the Western region with growing confidence after a determined comeback 2-1 win over bottom-placed Eleven Wonders, achieved despite playing with ten men, followed by a battling goalless draw against giants Asante Kotoko in midweek. Their recent performances have lifted them to 10th on the table with 12 points.
The Tema New Town- based side have scored eight goals and conceded nine in their nine league matches, but their biggest concern remains their away form. Vision FC are winless on the road this season (D1, L3), collecting just one point and scoring only twice. They are among five teams to have earned just a single point away from home.
Coach Nana Kweku Agyemang will be eager to end that run as his team targets a first away victory of the campaign and seeks to extend their current unbeaten stretch.
Head-to-HeadBasake Holy Stars and Vision FC have met once in Aiyinase since their promotion in 2024, with Holy Stars winning 1-0.
A clash of opposites headlines match week ten as bottom-placed Eleven Wonders welcome title-chasing Medeama SC to the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
Eleven Wonders remain the only side yet to register a win after nine rounds of matches (D2, L7). Their return to the Premier League has been nothing short of turbulent. With just two points, five goals scored, the joint second-fewest, and 14 conceded, the highest in the league, they sit firmly at the foot of the table.
Their struggles have placed significant pressure on newly appointed head coach J. E. Sarpong, who continues to back his squad despite the alarming form. They have also been the weakest home performers this season, picking up just one point from four matches (D1, L3), scoring once and conceding six.
Medeama SC go into the fixture riding their longest unbeaten run since October 2024. Their hard-fought goalless draw against league leaders Aduana FC last weekend extended their unbeaten streak to six matches (W3, D3).
The Mauve and Yellow sit second on the table with 18 points, just one behind the leaders, and have continued the impressive attacking form that saw them finish last season as the league’s top scorers. With 13 goals, the most in the Premier League, and only five conceded, they appear well-built for another title push.
Medeama’s away form this season has been solid, with one win and two draws from four trips (L1), conceding only twice. Head coach Ibrahim Tanko will be determined to see his side maintain that defensive discipline and extend their unbeaten streak when they face a struggling Wonders outfit on Sunday.
Dreams FC will be hoping to rediscover their winning touch when they welcome newly promoted Hohoe United to the Tuba Astroturf on Sunday, in a Week 10 Premier League encounter.
The Still Believe lads have endured a frustrating start to the 2025/26 season, struggling for consistency and form. Following their 1-1 draw away to Karela United in Tamale last weekend, Winfred Dormon’s side have now dropped points in seven of their nine league matches (W2, D2, L5), leaving them in 13th place with just eight points, two above the relegation zone.
Dreams have scored eight goals and conceded nine, a record that reflects their inconsistency in both attack and defence. However, one major positive for the FA Cup holders has been their formidable home record — they remain unbeaten in their last 14 home matches across all competitions (W11, D3) at the Tuba Astroturf. That run includes consecutive clean-sheet victories in their two most recent home fixtures, a streak they will be determined to extend against Hohoe United.
Under coach Tijani Abdul Rahim Bashiru, Hohoe United have shown flashes of promise but remain winless away from home this season (D2, L2). They have scored only one goal and conceded five in four away fixtures, keeping just one clean sheet and failing to score in three of those matches. Their lack of cutting edge on the road could be a major concern heading into Sunday’s clash.
With both teams eager to change their fortunes, the contest promises to be a crucial one. For Dreams FC, it’s an opportunity to restore confidence and climb the table; for Hohoe United, a chance to claim their first-ever away victory in the top flight and build momentum.
A win for either side could spark a turning point in their campaign — but with Dreams’ dominant home form and Hohoe’s travel struggles, the hosts will enter the tie as slight favourites.
