Premier League match officials complete intensive training at Prampram

Ghana Premier League match officials have successfully completed a comprehensive four-day training programme at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

The intensive course, which concluded on Thursday, September 10, 2026, brought together a wide range of refereeing personnel, including 28 Premier League referees and 28 Premier League assistant referees.

Also participating were five FIFA male referees, six FIFA assistant referees, four FIFA female referees, five Catch Them Young referees and five Catch Them Young assistant referees, as well as five Support Premier Assistant Referees.

The programme formed part of efforts to strengthen the technical capacity of Ghana's match officials and ensure they are adequately prepared to meet the increasingly demanding requirements of modern football officiating.

Throughout the four-day exercise, participants engaged in a combination of theoretical and practical sessions designed to sharpen their understanding of the Laws of the Game, improve decision-making and enhance their overall performance on the field.

Among the key areas covered were recent amendments to the Laws of the Game, with officials receiving detailed guidance on how the latest interpretations should be applied during matches.

The training is expected to provide Ghana's match officials with the latest technical knowledge and practical tools required to manage matches effectively and consistently throughout the season.

The intensive preparations at Prampram will contribute to improved officiating standards, greater consistency in decision-making and stronger performances from match officials throughout the 2026/27 campaign.
