Premier League: Hearts of Oak seal back-to-back wins as Berekum Chelsea shock Lions in Kpando

Hearts of Oak secured back-to-back Premier League victories after edging Vision FC 1-0 at the Nii Adjei Kraku Complex in Tema New Town on Saturday, while Berekum Chelsea stunned Heart of Lions with a 2-0 away win in Kpando.

Kwesi Asmah emerged as Hearts’ match-winner, striking in the 86th minute to secure all three points in a tightly contested encounter.

Asmah capitalised on a loose clearance inside the box before firing home with his left foot, extending the Phobians’ winning run following their narrow victory over Port City.

Berekum Chelsea claimed their first away win of the season with a clinical 2-0 victory over Heart of Lions at the Kpando Stadium.

Dramani Awuah opened the scoring in the 39th minute before Paul Attah Agyei doubled the advantage in the 69th minute, punishing the hosts despite their dominance in possession.

The result leaves Heart of Lions with consecutive defeats, while Chelsea climb to seventh on the league table, gaining momentum ahead of their next fixture against Samartex.

Hearts of Oak will look to build on their improved form as they continue their push for consistency in the Premier League.
