Newly promoted FC Ashantigold will target their first Ghana Premier League victory when they welcome Vision FC to the Len Clay Stadium on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

Ashantigold began their return to the top flight with a promising 1-1 draw away to fellow newcomers Port City FC. After taking a first-half lead, they were forced to settle for a point and will now look to turn their strong start into three points in their first home fixture.

Their confidence will be boosted by an outstanding home record from last season’s Division One League campaign.

Ashantigold went unbeaten in all 15 home league games, winning 12 and drawing three, while scoring 30 goals and conceding only 10. Coach Abdul Karim Zito will be hoping his side can carry that impressive home form into the Premier League.

Vision FC travel to Obuasi with plenty of confidence after opening their campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory over Young Apostles. The Tema-based side have now gone unbeaten in their last three opening-day league fixtures, keeping clean sheets in each.

Their away record also makes them a formidable opponent. Vision FC finished as the league’s seventh-best away side last season and ended their previous campaign on the road with a 1-0 win over Nations FC.

They will now aim to secure back-to-back away victories in the Premier League for the first time since earning promotion to the top flight in the 2024/25 season.
