Premier League: Eleven Wonders target back-to-back wins ahead of Swedru All Blacks clash on Friday
Rooted to the bottom of the table, Eleven Wonders will hope to build on their long-awaited return to winning ways when they host Swedru All Blacks at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Friday in the Premier League.
The basement boys finally brought an end to their 12-game winless run with a morale-boosting 2–0 victory over Dreams FC, their first league win of the season. The result also earned them their third clean sheet of the campaign, following earlier goalless draws against Basake Holy Stars and Karela United.
Despite the much-needed respite, they remain the only club yet to reach double figures in points this season, amassing just six points from 12 matches (W1, D3, L8). They have scored nine goals and conceded 17, the joint-highest in the league, underlining the scale of the challenge facing them.
Swedru All Blacks sit 13th on the table with 12 points and travel to the capital in relatively stable form. The Black Magicians have registered one win, three draws, and just one defeat in their last five league outings. Across the season, they have netted 11 goals and conceded 12 from 12 matches.
On the road, however, their record remains concerning. All Blacks have collected only three points from six away fixtures (W1, L5), scoring five goals and allowing ten. Yet, as Premier League returnees, they will be eager to claim their second away victory of the campaign and build momentum as they look to climb the standings.
