Premier League: Aduana regain top spot as Camara rescues Kotoko and Swedru All Blacks seal first away win

Aduana FC reclaimed top spot in the Premier League with an emphatic 3–1 victory over Berekum Chelsea in a fiery Bono derby on Sunday.

The Fire Boys made their intentions clear early on when Samuel Ansah struck in the sixth minute, setting the tone at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park. Hensen Amponsah doubled the lead in the 56th minute, before Seidu Abubakar briefly revived Chelsea’s hopes with a consolation effort. But Emmanuel Marfo ensured Aduana’s dominance was rewarded, sealing the win in the 84th minute.

The triumph lifts Aduana to 23 points, leapfrogging Medeama, who slipped to third after Heart of Lions climbed into second. The victory also extends Aduana’s impressive run to three straight wins as their title charge gains momentum.

Young Apostles and Hearts of Oak played out a tense but entertaining goalless draw at the Wenchi Sports Stadium. Both teams were solid defensively, cancelling each other out in a match of few clear chances. Hearts of Oak sit 6th, with Young Apostles following closely in 9th.

Fans at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex witnessed a thrilling 2–2 draw between Vision FC and Heart of Lions. After a cagey first half, Lions broke the deadlock through in-form forward Michael Ephson just two minutes after the restart. Maxwell Kwaku Sensah levelled moments later for the hosts, but Lions regained the lead in the 78th minute via Paul Atta Agyei. Vision, however, refused to relent, with George Tei striking late to salvage a crucial home point.

A dramatic late twist unfolded in Samreboi as Emmanuel Mamah missed a last-minute penalty, denying FC Samartex 1996 a potential win over Asante Kotoko. The well-contested match ended goalless, leaving Kotoko, currently 4th, three points behind new leaders Aduana, with a game in hand.

Faisal Charwartey stole the spotlight with a brilliant brace in Nations FC’s 2–0 victory over defending champions Bibiani Gold Stars. The winger struck in the 7th and 38th minutes to secure a well-deserved win for Nations, who climbed to 11th with 13 points. Gold Stars, meanwhile, dropped to 5th on 19 points.

Struggling Eleven Wonders fought back late to earn a vital point in a 1–1 draw at Hohoe United. Safianu Usman gave the hosts the lead in the 28th minute, but Mathew Amponsah struck in the 89th minute to extend Wonders’ run to four draws this season. They remain the only side without a win in the 2025/26 campaign.

The University of Ghana Stadium witnessed a five-goal spectacle as Swedru All Blacks edged Dreams FC 3–2 in a pulsating encounter. Rudolf Junior Mensah opened the scoring for All Blacks, but Suraj Seidu levelled from the spot shortly after. Dreams flipped the script through Yaovi Chris Guede, only for Abdul Aziz to equalise on the stroke of halftime. Early in the second half, Benjamin Adjei struck the decisive blow, securing All Blacks a valuable away win.
