The Black Queens of Ghana secured a spot in the semi-finals of the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations after a thrilling victory over Algeria. The match ended goalless after extra time, with the Black Queens emerging victorious in the penalty shootout, winning 4-2.

Ghana goalkeeper, Cynthia Konlan, made two crucial saves in the penalty shootout, denying Marine Dafeur and Inès Belloumou. While, Josephine Bonsu, Doris Boaduwaa, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, and Evelyn Badu successfully converted their penalty kicks for Ghana.

The match remained goalless after 120 minutes of play, with both teams creating chances but unable to find the breakthrough.

Ghana will look to build on this victory and make a strong impression in the semi-finals against host Morocco.
