Claiming a Republic Day success could turn around Hearts of Oak’s season which has dipped terribly during the second round of the premier league.
The Phobians will attempt to put aside the recent slump and square off with Eleven Wise for the coveted President’s Cup trophy at the Ohene Djan Stadium on Wednesday.
Wise assistant coach Nii Odartey Lamptey is confident of winning the trophy which is their only chance of winning a silver ware this season.
"For being top of the league from the start and now it’s like Kotoko is very close, they will have a big problem. That will be their weak point- they will be a bit nervous because of that," Odartey-Lamptey said.
"We are here to take the cup. For me personally I have won it already when I returned to play for Kotoko so I want to win it again."
Hearts are yet to put one beyond the premiership returnees after drawing both league matches in the Glo Premier League.
And a win today could return the Phobians back to winning ways after a going five games without a win in the premiership.
However they still remain hopeful of clinching the title as two points separate them and the second-placed team with four games to end the competition.
