The outstanding MTN FA Cup quarter finals matches have been scheduled to be played on Wednesday June 24, 2015, the FA Cup Committee has announced.
Three matches which includes the crunch game between reigning FA Cup Champions Asante Kotoko and Premier League leaders Ashantigold will be played on next Wednesday at the Baba Yara Stadium with Medeama also welcoming WAFA to the T & A Park.
Eleven Wise who are the only Division One side left in the competition, will travel to Dormaa as guests of Aduana Stars for their quarter finals match.
Kotoko qualified to the quarter finals stage of the competition after defeating Real Tamale United by a lone goal in their round of 16 match after they had beating lower tier sides Paga Crocodiles and Birim DC United in the Round of 64 and 32 respectively.
Ashgold on the other hand, who have conceded just a single goal so far in the competition, made it through to this stage after beating Cornerstone(2-0) and Wa African United (3-0) before eliminating last year’s finalists Inter Allies in the round of 16 match played at the Len Clay Stadium.
At the Dormaa park, Eleven Wise will be hoping to move into the last four of the competition after navigating their way into the quarter finals with wins over Okwahu United, Unity Stars and Samartex.
However they will face stiff competition from premiership side Aduana Stars who beat Wa All Stars, Susubribi before being declared winners of their round of 16 match against Istanbul which ended abruptly.
Medeama who made it to this stage after beating third tier side Great Astronomers on penalties, will face WAFA In Tarkwa to decide who joins Hearts of Oak in the semi-finals.
The Phobians are so far the only team to have confirmed their place in the semi-finals after beating Utrecht 3-0 in their quarterfinals match played at the Tema Stadium.
Hearts of Oak who are yet to concede a goal in the competition, also defeated Elimina Sharks (1-0), Bolga City(3-0) and Afienya City(1-0).
