A one-day training workshop for Division One League (DOL) Match Commissioners was held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, ahead of the start of the 2025-26 season.

General Secretary, Prosper Harrison Addo, welcomed the esteemed Commissioners to the workshop and expressed his gratitude for their sacrifices and commitment to the growth of football in the country.

The one-day workshop covered several areas, including amendments to the Laws of the Game, integrity, the Competition Management System (CMS), report writing, the role of the modern Match Commissioner, and how to conduct successful technical meetings.

Speaking to the Match Commissioners, President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku highlighted the significant role of a Match Commissioner and called on them to demonstrate diligence and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

"Last year, I met you here and assured you of the FA's commitment to developing football, and I'm glad we're beginning to see changes and improvements in our domestic league. This is what I always talk about – when you work well, we will reward you accordingly," he told the Commissioners.

"I want to thank you for your avid commitment and contribution to football. We appreciate your efforts and always strive to provide for your needs. I'm confident that this season will be no exception," President Simeon-Okraku added.

"Let's uphold the integrity of the sport by doing the right things – sending accurate reports and doing a good job for the FA and the football ecosystem. We've invested a lot in the sport over the past few years, and I believe we'll soon see the results. I wish you all the best in the coming season and beyond."

Head of the Information Technology department, Francis Essah Adu, took participants through the effective use of the Competition Management System in filing match reports.

The opening matches of the Access Bank Division One League will take place on the weekend, starting Friday, September 26, to Monday, September 29, 2025, across all three zones.
